H.L. This is an album beyond typical genre borders. It is avantgarde, it is progressive, it is obscure. There are doom, death and black metal elements, none of the dominating. The epic songs are not catchy, more like free floating, but somehow fascinating. The tracks are dark but sometimes also anthemic, depending on the rough vocals or clean chants. Really special! As a comparison one could mention Arcturus who perform a similar dark art. Check "Old Man Willow", a cover and the most accessible work. Favorite track: Old Man Willow (Elephant's Memory cover).
