Most of this feels like a newer blackgaze album released in the last couple of years, but without vocals for the most part. More blackgaze and atmospheric black metal bands are releasing instrumental versions of their albums these days too. That being the case, this is another HDR artist whose progression feels ahead of his time. This album is from 2010. It’s really quite good and engaging, with fantastic guitar work and progressive aspects.

It’s a lot of work getting through all of HDR’s albums, and I have put off several. This is one of them, and I was stupid. This guy is a fantastic guitar player, and this album is very good. I was really surprised how good this album turned out to be. Hard to pick a favorite track.
